There is a famous Malaysian saying that goes by “sedikit-sedikit, lama-lama jadi bukit” which means a small amount of something will eventually become a large amount when accumulated. This saying basically underlines the importance of perseverance in doing something and it’ll lead you to a fruitful result. When it comes to the creative content industry in Malaysia, there’s no other local event where we can witness how true that saying has corroborated to be in the now flourished sector. And the event is none other than the annually Kre8tif! Conference & Content Festival championed by the Malaysian Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC).
From 6th to 12th August last week, Forest Interactive was a part of the much-anticipated Kre8tif! Conference & Content Festival 2018. The event marked the 7th edition of Kre8tif! and it was filled with a variety of activities that gathered local, regional and international creative industry players. A part of the week-long event was the two-day regional Conference that brought together over 40 of the region’s leading creative practitioners in an exchange of ideas, knowledge sharing and future collaborative opportunities. There, Dato’ Ng Wan Peng, Chief Operating Officer of MDEC noted the remarkable transformation of South East-Asia’s creative content industry over the last decade, “The rapid advancement of technology has made animation and creative content industry a very lucrative economic enabler for the region. More so, there is an emerging trend of production companies moving from outsourcing and co-production model, towards focusing on their original content for international consumption”.
Malaysia is now a multimedia powerhouse
In reference to Malaysia, our creative content industry is fast becoming the driving force that is transforming the country as a multimedia powerhouse. What joining Kre8tif! meant for Forest Interactive
For Forest Interactive, our second participation with Kre8tif! has proven to be another tremendous experience as expected. As a multi-national Malaysian mobile tech company that offers creative solutions and content management catered to bridge the gap between telcos, corporate clients, and game developers with the consumers, the event was a platform that allowed us to connect with other industry players and to understand the needs of the industry deeper whilst witnessing their significant developments and achievements within the industry. We also got the chance to introduce our new programmatic ad solutions called Globe Digital Ads as well as our new e-commerce product, Wallet Codes, which we showcased with our partner, Codeshop Tune Talk. Furthermore, Forest Interactive was also the official app developer for the B2B Meeting App for Kre8tif! Business Xchange, made available for both Android and iOS users.
Certainly, we are proud to have been a part of MDEC’s Kre8tif! Conference & Content Festival 2018. Check out more of our pictures at the event HERE and don’t forget to follow us on all our social media!
