Shah Alam, November 1st, 2017 – The Faculty of Communication and Media Studies from Universiti Teknologi MARA Shah Alam, with the support of Communication & Multimedia Consumer Forum of Malaysia (CFM) organized a program called “Mass Communication Carnival”. From October 30th to November 1st 2017, subject-matter experts were invited to share their understanding of new challenges in the communication world with the students. They passed on their knowledge about various fields such as youth engagement, instructional communication, and smart consumption.
Johary Mustapha, CEO of Forest Interactive, was invited as honorary adviser of Malaysian Mobile Content Provider Association (MMCP) to approach the following subject: “Mobile Content Services: What do you need to know?”. He took this opportunity to talk about the evolution of mobile technology, social medias, OTT platforms, online communication and how to use it properly.
“Out of 7.5 billion population, 2.8 billion are using social media… it’s a huge communication tool. But be careful. You need to know how to understand and evaluate the information, and not only reading it and spreading it. Before uploading or sharing anything, think twice,” said Johary Mustapha, CEO of FOREST INTERACTIVE.
Forest Interactive involved in this program as part of its CSR projects as it focused on empowering young generations by sharing knowledge about technology, and by preparing them to build their career in the technology industry, as well as giving them the keys to be able to innovate and make the technology move forward.
